COMMUNITY SING
STRAND THEATRE, WEDNESDAY Last w r eek the community singing season opened with a bumper house. This week the second “sing” will be held in the Strand Theatre from 12.30 to 1.30 on Wednesday. Mr. W. J. Holdsworth will see that no one sings too loud and Mr. Vernon Drew, the song leader, will encourage the faint of heart. Accompaniments will be played by Mrs. Snow and Mr. Frank Sutherland will sing a popular number a's a solo. A new issue of song-books has been published, and there are distributed free. Last week more than £22 was collected for unendowed charity.
