MELBOURNE-BLUFF RUN

MANUKA TAKEN OFF PROTEST FROM DUNEDIN Press Association DUNEDIN, To-day. The Chamber of Commerce has telegraphed to the head office of the Union Steam Ship Company concerning the replacement of the Manuka in the Mel-bourne-Bluff service by cargo steamers, strongly protesting, and asking for reconsideration. The Importers and Shippers’ Association has wired to the Prime Minister: “It would appear that the company is indifferent regarding the success of this trade, for it is quite certain that handling in this way prejudices the chance of development. Please use your influence to secure a more satisfactory arrangement.”
