Merchants report receipt of London cables as follow: G. Paviour-Smith, from his London principals, the Anglo-Continental Produce Company, under date June 15: “Butter market firm at 172 sto 1745; tendency quiet; cheese, 100 s to 102 s”. A. H. Turnbull and Co. from their London principals, W. Weddel and Coy., Ltd., under date June 15:—“Butter, Danish, 170 s to 1725: New Zealand unsalted, 176 s to ISOs; salted, 172 s to 1745; market firm. Cheese: New Zealand white and coloured, 101 s to 102 s; market firm; Canadian new season’s white, 97s to 100 s; coloured, 96s to 100 s.”
