DAIRY CATTLE SELL FREELY Press Association. FEILDING, Friday. At the Feilding stock sale to-day an average yarding of cattle generally sold well up to late rates, but fat cattle were slightly easier. In the dairy cattle section some highclass pedigree Jersey heiefrs and cows sold at 18igns and 23gns respectively. Jersey springing heifers made £6 17s 6d to £10; milking Shorthorn heifers, £6 17s 6d; dairy cows, £7 to £10; Jersey weaner heifers, £3 3s to £5 7s 6d; store cows, £3 7s to £4 17s 6d; fat cows, £5 12s 6d to £ll 10s. There was a record yarding of fat lambs, although the quality was not as good as last week. For an average entry of fat and store sheep competition was not as keen as at recent sales. Prices for all classes of sheep were lower. Woolly, white-face fat lambs made 29s 7d to 35s 7d; shorn Romney fat lambs, 27s 6d to 34s 9d; shorn blackface fat lambs, 27s to 33s 9d; woolly black-face fat lambs, 27s 9d to 37s 3d; fat ewes.. 27s to 33s 9d; good fat wethers, 39s to 40*; light, 34s 3d to 375; a line of small two-tooth wethers, 31s 1C cl; good wethers, 35s 2d; small ewe lambs, 29s 3d; fair shorn wether hoggets, 24s 2d to 255; good 4-year-old ewes, running with Romney rams, 3Ss 6d; five-year-old ewes, running with Southdown rams, 28s 3d.
