BRIDGE PARTY
FOR COMMUNITY CLUB More than 50 tables of bridge were in play at the second of a series of bridge parties arranged by the Community Club committee of the Auckland Play and Recreation Association for the purpose of rasing funds for the children’s community club. The function took place yesterday afternoon in Lewis Eady’s attractive hall, which was kindly lent by its owners for the occasion. The committee responsible for the arrangements of the afternoon included Mrs. N. E. Ferner, the president of the association, Mrs. F. E. N. Gaudin, Mrs. Gresham, Mrs. F. M. Rainger. Mrs. Alfred Eady, Mrs. S. Brown, Mrs. A. G. Quartley, Mrs. Prior Williams, Mrs. Taylor, Miss McDonald, Miss D’Arcy Jones and Miss Davis. A .prize for progressive bridge was won by Mrs. R. K. Wylie and Mrs. Cornes secured the stationary bridge prize. Among those present were: Mrs. Alfred Nathan, Mrs. Spedding, Mrs. Worrall, Mrs. Von Sturmer, Mrs. D. Goodfellow, Mrs. H. Richards, Mrs. J.
