“MY KINGDOM FOR—"
THIS TIME "A MOUSE” A curious incident bofel a. Keswick (England) golfer recently*. He played ; number of balls into a bunker for practice, and on reaching the spot found a mouse trying to dislodge one from the bank of the bunker. Presently another mouse added its weight, both endeavouring to roll the ball toward a hole. The net result was that the ball finally rolled into the sand. As we are not likely to have a similar incident we will avoid going into the rules on the question. To measure accurately any good drive, take the driver’s estimate and subtract 50 yards. * # ■> A new method of handicapping which might add interst to any match would be to allow the weaker player a certain number of alibis. Each alibi would be worth at least two strokes, and a really good one might be worth four. The quality of the alibis, which would not be produced until needed, would make for constant suspense.
