THE GAME AT TE PUKE
(Fro in Our Otcn Cor respondent) TE PUKE, Tuesday. The Te Puke Ladies’ Hockey Association held a wel-attended meeting in the Alliance Hall on Monday night. Mr. J. Geraghty, preaident, in Ills open, ing remarks, urged the members of tin 4 association to elect a. committee of men to carry on the interests of hockey in the town. On putting the matter to * vote it was decided to elect a committee of four men. with two delegates from each club. The secretary was instructed to write to the Mount Maunganui Club and pcint out that as it was very awkward to arrange matches for them, they would not be accepts on the association. The question of Saturday and Wednesday teams was also discussed. Th» committee decided to arrange the nil teams into a Wednesday and Saturday group. When three rounds hsd been played in each group the winner* of each section will play off the final. The association also decided to select a Maori representative team and a pakeha representative team.
