PLUNKET SOCIETY
APPOINTMENT OF DELEGATE The monthly meeting of the Ohakune branch of the Plunket Society was held last week, the president, Mrs. Fetzer, presiding. There were also present: Mesdames Wood, Hussey, McGregor, Colman, Laming, and Miss Donald (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Cronin and Woodlock. Owing to Nurse Corbett’s recent illness, it was decided to hold over the nurse’s report until next meeting. It was resolved to appoint Mrs. Fetzer delegate to the general conference, to be held in Wellington in August. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. Menzies for her kindness in attending the Plunket rooms during the nurse’s absence on sick leave. Votes of thanks were also passed to the following, who gave such valuable assistance at the Plunket ball; Mrs. Trevor, for use of piano; Miss R. Goldfinch, and Messrs. Carver, Hussey, Sinclair, Colman, Fulton, and H. Gould; and also the borough council for furnishing the coloured lights for the ball. It was resolved to hold the annual meeting on Thursday, June 28. A very successful meeting terminated with a vote of thanks to the chair.
