FIRE IN WAREHOUSE
SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION OF KAPOK Press A ssociation. NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday. A fire in a furniture warehouse occupied by Mr. F. C. Hogg and owned by Mr. E. T. Petty, caused damage estimated at £I,OOO. It is believed that a leaky roof allowed the rain to reach some kapok mattresses, causing spontaneous combustion. Insurances on the stock were for £I,OOO, and on the building for £2OO.
