THISTLE CLUB WITHDRAWS An official notification of tic withdrawal of the Thistle Club from all grade competitions was contained in a lette.r received by Mr. F\ Adeanc, secretary of the Auckland Football Association, yesterday. The letter stated: ‘‘Following the sentence of suspension for two playing Saturdays imposed on Kay, the players held a consultation. at which they took exception to the punishment meted out to their colleague. In sympathy with Kay they decided not to play for the remainder of the season. Under the circumstances the committee of the club could do nothing but withdraw from the association.’*
