Mr McDowell Smith arrived from the South this morning by the Limited. Dr Lyle Davis, of Dunedin, has been appointed house surgeon at the Thames HosP* tal Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., will leave by the Tofua on Saturday on a tour of the Islands. Colonel R. Snow will be among the passengers leaving by the Tofua on Saturday. Mr. H. L. Dolamore, of Dunedin, was a passenger from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Mr. W. H. Lunn, manager at Auckland of the Union Bank of Australia, will leave by the Tofua on Saturday on an Island tour. Mr. S. Jonkinson, of the head office of the Railway Department, Wellington, arrived by the Limited this morning! He was accompanied by Mrs. Jenkinson. Mr. E. Casey, divisional superintendent, North Island Railways, will leavt> for Opua to-morrow morning on official business. Captain E. P. O. Boyle, M.V.0., military secretary to the GovernorGeneral, left for Wellington by train last evening.
Mr. W. Burton, New Zealand manager for Sir Benjamin and Mr. John Fuller, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning.
Mr. W. J. Bellingham, of Christchurch, musical director of the Radio Broadcasting Company, leaves Auckland for the South this evening..
Mr. T. H. Martin was admitted by Mr. Justice MacGregor as a solicitor of the Supreme Court to-day, on the motion of Mr. G. Bennett.
Mr. J. S. Woollams was admitted by Mr. Justice MacGregor as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court today, on the motion of Mr. G. W. Inder.
Mr. A. R. Shepard, of J. C. Williameon’s Films, is confined to his bed in Auckland with an attack of pleurisy. Mr. Beaumont Smith, managing director, will leave Auckland to-night for Taranaki.
Mr. J. A. Shand, publiicty manager in New Zealand for J. C. Williamson and J. and N. Tait, is at present in Auckland in the interests of the last mentioned firm, which is sponsoring the New Zealand tour of the •\yorld-famous pianist Moiseiwitsch.
