COMPLAINTS ABOUT CRANES
CEMETERIES BADLY KEPT Press Association . WELLINGTON, To-day. The Returned Soldiers’ Association is dissatisfied with th 6 work of the War Graves Division in New Zealand, particularly in regard to its not supplying crosses for the graves of men buried in c€;meteries, but whose deaths were not due to war disabilities. Complaint is also made, however, of the state of some of the cemeteries and their lack of attention. When a delegate pointed out that no fault could be found with Karori, Mr. W. E. Leadley. of Canterbury, said, ‘ Exactly, and the War Graves Division carts a photograph of the Karori Cemetery all round the country to shovr what it has done.”
A remit was carried that the division be urged to complete the work in the soldiers’ sections of the various cemeteries.
