EVERYBODY'S
“RASH PRIVATES” TO-MORROW
“The Thirteenth Juror,” and “No Control,” the two pictures now being shown at Everybody’s Theatre, will be screened for the last time this evening. The picture, “Rash Privates,” will head the new programme to be shown to-morrow.
“Rash Privates” is perhaps one of the most laughable war comedies ever shown in Auckland. The story opens with the end of the war. A regiment of doughboys is sent to Germany with the American Army of Occupation. They speak no German, and the Germans speak no English. Xet romance flourishes and many funny incidents befall the players. The locale is a beautiful little German village near Coblenz. The leading players are Lya De Putti, a well-known Continental actress, and Malcolm McGregor, a typical young college man, who is one of the rash privates and gets on very well with the little German girl. A Peter B. Kyne story, “Pals in Paradise,” starring Rudolph Schildkrant and May Robson, will also be shown.
An added attraction to-morrow night will be “The Asquiths,” society entertainers.
