“I WILL REPAY” TO-MORROW
One of the exciting stories of the Scarlet Pimpernel has been filmed, and the picture, entitled “I Will Repay,” will be shown at the Eyrie Theatre for the first time to-morrow.
The story concerns a vow made by a frail and beautiful girl to avenge the life of her brother, who was killed in a duel with Deroulede, an eloquent French lawyer. During the French Revolution the girls’ chance for revenge comes, but her hatred turns to love and she repents of her determination.
Both she and the lawyer are then in danger of the revolutionary mob. but are saved by the Scarlet Pimpernel. A particularly strong cast of featured players interpret the story, headed by Flora Le Breton. Holmes Herbert and Pedro de Cordoba. The boxing ring is the locale around which “Broadway Billy,” the comedydrama which will be the second feature on the programme, is written. Billy Sullivan is the star.
