PUKEKOHE DAIRY CATTLE VALUES
A sustained demand for all classes of good dairy cattle was met with at a special sale held by Alfred Bucliand and Sons at Pukekohe yesterday. Approximately 400 head of cattle were yarded, the offering comprising several whole herds. Top price was realised by two pedigree Jersey heifers on account of Mr. C. A. Willis, Pukekohe, one of which realised 30 guineas, and the other 24 .guineas. • ’hoice quality cows at profit sold at from £ls to £22, the latter sum being paid for a cow on account of Mr. R. Plaister, Bombay, which had a record under test for last, season of 5261 b. of butter-fat. flood quality cows at profit made £lO 10s to £l4, and later cows £6 15s to £9. ‘.ood quality Jersey heifers close to calvrealised £ll to £ls 15s. and backward he if err £8 15s to £9.155.
