BANK OF JAPAN.—The Governor of the Bank of Japan, Mr. Inonyo, has resigned.—A.P.A. Captain Emilio Carranza, the Mexican “goodwill” aviator, arrived at Washington to-day from Mexico City, after being forced by a fog to land at Moorsville, North Carolina. —A.P.A. REPORT DENIED.—In the House of Commons yesterday, replying to Mr. Ammon, the Prime Minister, Mr. Stanley Baldwin, said that the Press statement that the Wireless Conference had presented a report was entirely erroneous. GERMAN CABINET. —The German Chancellor, Dr. Marx, has submitted the resignation of the Cabinet to the President, Marshal von Hindenburg. The President has entrusted the Socialist leader, Herr Hermann Muller, with the formation of a Ministry.—A.P.A. MINERS IN CAMERA. —The Miners* Convention was opened in New South Wales yesterday. The sitting was in camera. It is understood that the minority movement intends to press the demand for a five-day week of six hours daily, with a guaranteed mum wage of £5 10s a week. TOUR OF PRINCES. understood that the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Gloucester will leave London for East Africa in the first week of September, and will arrive there at the end of that month. After the tour they will return to England from the Cape.—British Wireless. GOVERNOR OF ROME. King George on Monday morning received at Buckingham Palace Prince Potenziani, the Governor of Rome. At the week-end the distinguished Italian guest of the City of London visited Windsor Castle, Eton, the Zoological Gardens and other places of interest.— British Wireless. PORT OF LONDON- —The Dominion farmers were the guests of the Port of London Author ty. The vice-chair-man of the Port Authority, .Mr. C. F. Leach, said he hoped the result of their inspection would convince the representatives of the Dominions that London was the most efficient port in Britain for handling their produce.— A.P.A.
