ONE NOMINEE LIKELY fUnited P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian Press Association) LONDON, Tuesday. Political correspondents agree that it is practically certain that Captain E. A. Fitzrby, Conservative member for Daventry, will be the only nominee for the Speakership of the House of Commons.

Captain Edward Algernon Fitzroy has been Conservative member of Parliament for Daventry (formerly South Northamptonshire), 1300-06, and again since 1910. He is Deputy-Chairman of Committees. He was born in 1869, a son of the third Lord Southampton, and was at Eton and Sandhurst. He was in the Life Guards and served in the war and was wounded in the first battle of Ypres. He was created a Privy Councillor in 1924.
