CHANGE OIL IN WINTER

Oil should be changed more frequently in winter than in summer. Water collects more frequently in the crankcase than in warm weather. The engine runs so cool that the fuel vaporises less completely and the unvapourised portions run down into the crankcase. Moreover, the choke is used* much more frequently at starting and during warming up, and this j causes excess fuel to enter the cylinder, the unburned portions of which j find their way into the oil and dilute it.
