CAR HITS TRAIN

LEVEL-CROSSING SMASH DRIVER ESCAPES INJURY (From Our Oton Correspondent) ROTORUA, Monday. A motor-car driven by Mr. Henry Ingram, and owned by Mr. Ingram, ran into the incoming noon train at the Ranolf Street level crossing to-day. The car was badly smashed, and dragged to the cattle-stops. The driver, who was the sole occupant, was comparatively uninjured. The failure of the brakes is stated to have been the cause of the accident.
