AUCKLAND SALE Practically none of to-day's offering heavy cow and ox hides at the Auckland hide, skin and wool oddment was sold under the hammer, 'alues were easily |d to Id below late Little more than Hd was offered for any line of hides. Calf skins sold at firm to slightly better rates than at the la<st sale, best grades making to 17d: second smade to 16d. skins met with keen competition. Good dried skins made to I<J d, best heavy salted made to 12s, Medium 9s 6d to 10s 9d. light 5s 9d to 16s 9d. A mixed offering of wool oddments comprised mostly crutchings. Best crutchings made 14d to 14|d: seconds, Ld to 13d; thirds, 9d to lid; seedy, 5,(1 to 112 d; oddments of fleece wool ttade to lSld for fine half-bred , x-bred, 3 d to I6d; dingy and seedy, 9d to 12d; locks, 7d to 9d.
