A QUIET tone was registered on ’Change this morning Little movement was registered in any section.
In banks, buyers of N.Z. improved to 60s 9d to find sellers holding firm for 61s. Commercials are also firm with sellers at 29s 9d, supported by buyers at 29s 6d. Buyers of Kauri Timbers have moved up another 3d to 19s 3d to see sellers ease 6d to 20s 6d. Buyers of Nationals came in this morning at 2s 6d. Coals continue mostly in good tone, with sellers holding firm at late quotation, but practically no business is being transacted. Industrials are quiet. Buyers of
Australian Glass have improved to 445. Kempthorne Prossers are not sought, with sellers weaker at 695. Mining is mostly weak and neglected.
