POST BOX BROKEN OPEN

On Friday night the posting-box at the corner of Portland Road and Remuera Road was broken open by thieves. It is not known what correspondence was taken, as the post office officials have no check on the fetters which are posted there. Recently there was an epidemic of postal-boxes being broken into, and residents are asked to give officials every assistance in tracing the delinquents.
