BOXER MCDONALD WINS

BROCK BEATEN AT SYDNEY TECHNICAL KNOCK-OUT (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) SYDNEY, Friday. At the Leichhardt Stadium, the New Zealand boxer, Lachie McDonald, 11.2 J, won on a technical knock-out against Fi’ed Brock, 10.12, in the 10th round of a 15-round contest. McDonald sent Brock down twice for a count of nine, and once for six in the second round, the bell saving him. After that McDonald had matters in his own hands, and punished his opponent severely before he sent him down in the 10th round with a heavy left to the jaw. The referee stopped the contest, and declared McDonald the winner.
