The producer was Mr. Lester Brown,' publicity manager for Fox

England, principally the first performance of “The Belle of New York" at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London. During his stay in Australia he was associated with Ada Reeve. In his producer days Mr. Brown was closely in touch with some of the most celebrated players of the English stage, including Edna May. In Australia he directed Carrie Moore and Grace Palotta, in “Aladdin”; Phil Smith, Charles Workman and Marie Eaton in “Samples,” Barry Lupino in “Honi Soit” and Hugh Steyne and Beatrice Holloway in “Bubbly.” Mr. Brown’s success in Wellington has spread further afield, and now New Plymouth and Nelson have asked him to assist them with their productions of “The Sunshine Girl.”
