BUTTER AND CHEESE
MARKET IN GOOD TONE The improved tone in the London market for butter and cheese registered earlier in the week is being maintained. Late cables show New Zealand butter selling oh a par with Danish. Merchants report receipt of London cables as follows; A. H. Turnbull and Company, from their London principals, W. Weddel and Company, under date June 8: "Butter, Danish, 170 sto 1725; New Zealand unsalted, 174 s to 1765; salted, 168 s to 1725; market firm. Cheese, New Zealand white and coloured, 99s to 100 s; market firm: Canadian white, 112 s to 116 s; coloured, 108 s to 1125.” G. Paviour-Smith, from his London principals, the Anglo-Continental Produce Company, under date June S: ‘Market firm; butter, 170 sto 1725; cheese, 995.” Dalgety and Company, from their London house, under date June 8: Cheese, Is a cwt higher, now 99s to lOOs.”
