All Night Wrestling Match Ends in Winner Knocking Out His Opponent at Dawn
yyiLn SCENES were witnessed at a wrestling match in Minneapolis (U.S.A.) last Monday week, says a cable. Strangler Lewis and Martin Plestina started their match at nine o’clock at night, and at 4 a.m. next day, neither man had secured a fall. Just as daylight was filtering through the Stadium windows, Lewis picked his opponent up and flung him headlong to the mat, gaining a fall. The referee awarded him the match and told the spectators to go home. The decision was received with “boos” and a riot followed. During the excitement, Lewis smashed a terrific right-hander to Plestina’s jaw. The latter was unconscious for four minutes. Finally the police cleared the Stadium.
