DANGEROUS GAS STORED (United P.A.- — By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A.—United Service) LONDON, Wednesday. The Secretary of State for War, Sir Laming Worthington-Evans, stated in the House of Commons that the army authorities kept quantities of phosgene gas such as that which caused the recent disaster at Hamburg, for experimental purposes. The Under-Secretary to the Home Office, Colonel Sir Vivian Henderson, admitted that there are no special regulations to prevent the storage of poisonous gases near large centres of population. However, he said, the containers had a large margin of safety.
