ENTRIES FOR CLASSICS
Takapuna Jockey Club Nominations for the Takapuna Plate and the Wynyard Plate close to-day (Friday, June 8), at 5 p.m., with the secretary, Mr. F. D. McVay. Each race carries prize money to the amount of £520, in addition to gold cups, each of the value of £BO. The Takapuna Plate is set down to be run at the approaching spring meeting in November, and the Wynyard Plate figures on the summer programme to be brought off in January. Auckland Racing Club The list of classic races of the Auckland Racing Club will require attention at the hands of horse-owners to-day (Friday, June 8, on which date, at 5 p.m., nominations close with the secretary, Mr. W. S. Spence. Avondale Jockey Club Nominations for the undermentioned classic events to be run at the Avondale Jockey Club’s meeting close to-day (Friday, June,B), at 5 p.m., with the secretary, Mr. A. J. Farquhar:—Avondale Stakes of £750, Avondale Guineas of £750 (1929), and All-aged Stakes of £750 (1929).
