SIR C. WAKEFIELD’S GIFT Press Association WELLINGTON, To-day. The manager in New Zealand for C. C. Wakefield and Company, has received advice from his Sydney office to the effect Sir. Charles Wakefield has cabled “please offer the New Zealand Government, in my name, a light airplane to aid in the development of civil aviation in the Dominion. Sir Charles Wakefield made a similar gift recently to the Commonwealth Government on the occasion of Hinkler’s arrival there. . The development of civil aviation has always interested him.
