AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS Auctioneers report on district stock sales as follow: — The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:—We held sales during the past •week at Westfield and Papakura, also two clearing sales. We report good sales for all classes of cattle and sheep, especially for choice and good dairy cows and heifers. There is also a keen demand for breeding ewes, stoi'e wethers and hoggets, which are realising high values. We quote: Dairy cows and heifers, close to profit, choice, £lO 10s to £l7; others, £6 to £lO ss; backward springers, £4 to £8 10s; bulls, £2 10s to £8 10s, according to weight; store cows, £2 5s to £3 17s 6d; boner cows, £2 12s 6d to £4 10s; heifers, suitable dairy purposes, £3 5s to £6; weaner heifers, £1 10s to £3 10s; weaner steers, £1 15s to £2 17s 6d; yearling to 18-months steers, £3 to £4 10s; 2 to 21-year steers, £4 15s to £5 10s; 3 to 3?;-year steers, £5 17s 6d to £6 12s 6d; 4*to 4i-year steers, £6 15s to £7 7s 6d; grown" steers, in forward condition, £7 10s to £8 10s; store wethers, £1 6s to £1 10s; hoggets, £1 to £1 4s 6d; breeding ewes, f.f.vn., £1 3s 6d to £1 10s; 4 and 6-tooth ewes, £1 9s to £1 12s 6d; beef at fully Westfield quotations.. Alfred Buckland and Son, Ltd., report:—During the week we held sales at Westfield, Pukekohe, Kumeu and Waiuku, also three clearing sales. There were full yardings and a good demand for all classes of cattle and sheep. Prices realised were similar to those ruling at the previous week’s sales. Best dairy cows at clearing sales made £ls to £2O; good cows, £lO 10s to £l4 10s; second grade cows, £7 to £10; others, £4 to £6 15s; best springing heifers, £lO 10s to £l4; others, £6 10s to £10; small and back-ward, £4 10s to £6 ss; empty young cows and heifers, £3 10s to £4 15s; store cows, £1 10s to £3 ss; fat steers, £lO 5s to £l3 ss; heavy prime youngcows and heifers, £7 to £9 15s; lighter fat cows and heifers, £5 to £6 17s 6d; boner cows, £2 to £4 15s. The advertised steers from Limestone Downs were well bred and full of condition. Prices ranged from £8 to £ll 2s 6d. Other grown steers, in forward condition, made £8 to £9 4s; three to four-year-old steers, £6 to £7 15s; two to three-year-old steers, £4 15s to £6; yearling to 18-months-old steers, £3 to £4 10s; wellbred Jersey heifer calves, £3 to £4 10s; other calves, £1 10s to £2 ss; small calves, 18s to £1 Ss; cows with calves, £5 5s to £8; heavy bulls, £5 15s to £7 15s; sound young herd bulls, £4 4s to £8 8s; other bulls, £1 10s to £4. An average entry of pigs at Pukekohe sold at Westfield values. Ewes in lamb made £1 5s to £1 11s.
