Logan Chief, who was elected favourite in the big race the first day, and was only defeated si head by Waitaki Girl, was reserved on Monday for the 10 furlong flutter, but despite his good showing of Saturday, he was only seventh in order on the machine. Logan Chief rolled home in good style and his supporters went home well satisfied that the “second up” plan is a payable one. Dolores Getting in Tuna
