S. HENDERSON’S SUCCESSES FIVE WINS OVER FENCES Sam Henderson, the popular Auckland horseman, to-day added further to his tine list of successes over the obstacles by riding: Glendowie to victory in the Winter Steeplechase. His previous wins at the present carnival were secured with Kameliameha (Green Lane Steeples), Beau Cavalier (Great Northern Hurdles), Glendowie (Hunt Club Hurdles) and Glendowie (Great Northern Steeplechase). After to-day’s victory Henderson’s cheque has reached the fine sum of £432. OWNER DISQUALIFIED PROMINENT MELBOURNE MAN

Eric Connolly, a prominent racehorse owner, has been disqualified for 12 months on the ground of the alleged inconsistent running of his filly Broken Doll, at Flemington on Saturday, compared with her running pn May 23. Her rider, O'Hanlon, has been disqualified for a similar period. Appeals have been lodged.
