WITH THE BOY SCOUTS
The Boy Scouts and Wolf Cubs are to be congi'atulated on the excellent parade at the Drill Hall last Saturday, when the inspection by the GovernorGeneral took place. One of the features of the rally was the presentation of the Jellicoe Trident to the Calliope troop of Sea Scouts, who are thus acknowledged the best Dominion Sea Scouts of the year. * * * A combined church parade of Boy Scouts, Wolf Cubs, Girl Guides and Brownies, was held at All Saints’ Church last Sunday, a good attendance being recorded.
Pipe Carver* of St. George’s troop, reports: “The troop has been formed for just over a year and we have now a number of badges. At the last First-Class examinations nine scouts passed the test for the Cook’s badge and seven others have now qualified for Ambulance badge. “Mr. Kay is our Assistant Scoutmaster and we hope to get on very well together. “Although Christmas and camp are a long way off, we are already preparing for a concert to obtain troop funds. “Recently the Girl Guides invited us to an evening and we spent a jolly time. “Last Monday our Scoutmaster and several scouts went out to Three Kings where we enjoyed scouting work and games of tracking.”
