OFFICIAL RESUME Under date June 1 the London office of the New Zealand Dairy Board cabled as follows, prices for last week being given in parentheses:— Butter New Zealand.—Finest salted, 166 s to 168 s a cwt (1665, 170 s to 1725); unsalted, 168 sto 176 s (168 sto 1765). Deliveries of New Zealand this week, 550 tons. In store, 4.100 tons. Australian.—Finest salted, 154 s to 158 s (156 s to 160 s); unsalted, 158 s to 162 s (158 s to 1625). Argentine.—Finest unsalted, 156 s to 160 s (154 s to 160 s). Dutch Creamery.—Unsalted, 162 s to 164 s (168 s to 170 s). French.—Salted, baskets, 146 s to 160 s. Estonian.—Salted, 158 s to 1625; u» - salted, 162 s to 1645. Latvian.—loSs to 160 s. Siberian.—ls2s to 1545. Ukrainian.—Salted, 152 s to 1545; unsalted, 15Ss to 160 s. Danish.—Spot, 168 s to 169 s (171 s to 1725); f.0.b., 163 s to 164 s (164 s to 1655). Estimated stocks of all butters in public stores at May 30, 9,406 tons, compared with 10,155 tons last year. Cheese New Zealand. —White and coloured, 97s to 99s (96s to 975). Canadian.—Finest white, 112 s (112 s to 114 s); exceptionally good, 120 s to 1225; finest coloured, 108 s to 110 s (108 s to 110 s, up to 116 s). Australian.—Finest white, 95s to 96s (945); coloured, 94s to 95s (94s to 955, up to 965). Market firm, with a good demand. Retail prices unchanged. Estimated stocks of cheese on June 1 at London, Liverpool and Bristol were: New Zealand and Australian: 106,900 crates; last year, 111,100 crates. Canadian: 29,800 boxes; last year, 14,800 boxes. Shipping Arrivals The Ruapehu completed its discharge of butter on May 30, and of cheese on May 22. The Corinthic commenced to discharge cheese on May 24, and finished on May 25. The vessel is still working butter. Of the steamers which arrived this week, the Pakeha commenced to discharge cheese on May 31. The Devon has not opened up yet. North American Prices The board has also received advice from its agents in Canada as follows: Butter.—New York, 44£ cents (Is 10£d); Montreal, 34£ cents (Is 5Jd); San Francisco, 42 cents (Is 9d).
