The seven-a-side Rugby tournament conducted by the King Country Union at the Taumarunui Domain, on King’s Birthday, took place in ideal weather, in the presence of a very large crowd of spectators, and was a most successfuf event. Twenty-seven teams were represented in the games, the results being: Seniors. —First Round: Raetihi 8, v. Taumarunui B, 0; Ohakune, 3, v. Matiere, 0; Athletic (Taumarunui), 11, v. Manunui, 0; Nehe Nehe, 9, v. Owhango, 5. Second Round: Taumarunui A, 11, v. Raetihi, 0; Atheltic, 13, v. Ohakune, 0; Nehe Nehe, 10, v. Taumarunui A, 8. Final: Atheltic, S; Nehe Nehe, 0. Juniors.—First Round: Nehe Nehe, 3, v. Owhango, 0; Ohakune Junction, 3, v. Taumarunui C, 0; Mangapehi, 14, v. Raetihi, 0; Taumarunui A, 14, v. Atheletic, 3. Second Round: Nehe Nehe, 5, v. Play was sparkling throughout, the refereeing excellent, and as will be seen by the restults, Taumarunui Clubs won all the finals. TE PUKE TOURNEY Eight seven-a-side football teams competed for the cup donated by the Pongakawa Club yesterday. Ea.ch member of the winning seven received a miniature silver cup and the club a large silver cup. The results were : First Round.—Waikiti (Rotorua), 11 v. United (Te Puke), 1C; Pongakawa, 6 v. City (Rotoima), 1; Matata, 21 v. City B (Rotorua) 0; Okahukura (Rotorua), 18, v. United B (Te Puke), 1. Second Round.—Waitiki, 8 v. Matata, 5; City A, 12 v. United A, 9; Pongakawa, 8 v. Okahukura, 3; Uniced B, 1?, v. City B. 0. Third Round.—Waikiti, 11 v. City A, 6; Pongokawa, 6 v. United B, 1. Final.—Pongakawa, 8 v. Waikiti, 3. Members of the winning team, Pongakawa, were Messrs. McKenzie, captain, Malcolm, Bennett, Moore, Anderson, Barker, and Horne. The cup was presented on the ground to R. McKenzie by the president of the Te Puke Rugby Union, Mr. F. Palmer.
