“ONE OF OUR LEADERS”

CONGRATULATIONS FOR SIR G. FOWLDS

“It is a delight to the members of the New Zealand Alliance that one of the Dominion’s leading prohibitionists should have been so honoured.” said Mr. J. W. Court, at last night’s “prohibition rally,” referring to the knighthood conferred upon Sir George Fowlds.

“To him we shall owe a great deal when we get victory” (cheers), said Mr. Court.

Three cheers were given for Sir George by the audience, which filled most of the Town Hall, and the new knight smiled his thanks.
