BRITISH TEAM WINS MUCH BETTER DISPLAY (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) SYDNEY, Monday. The English Rugby League team today defeated New South Wales by 22 points to nine. The visitors were more at home on the soft ground after overnight rain. They gave a much better display and used their superior weight to advantage. In the first few minutes they led B—o.8 —0. The local men then settled down and fought every inch of the way. At half time the score was: England, 10; New South Wales, 9. After the resumption of play the visitors forced the pace and finished comfortable winners.
