TOURNEY AT WHANGAREI (From Our Oton Correspondent) WHANGAREI. Monday. Ideal weather revailed yesterday for the annual seven-a-side Rugby football at Kensington Park and district hockey matches at the High School ground. A total of 46 teams entered for the Rugby games. Following are the results of the final round: Senior: Maungakaramea beat Old Boys, 3-0; Junior High School beat Onerahi, 5-0. Third grade: Horahora beat High School, 16-0. Fourth grade: High School B beat High School A, 8-3. Primary schools: Hikurangi A beat Hikurangi B, 2 3-0.
In the hockey Mata proved too strong for Whangarei, being first and second in the final. In the girls’ matches, the final resulted in Old Girls beating High School B by one goal to nil, *
