At Tunbridge Wells to-day, Kent county bowling team defeated the New Zealanders by 129 points to 108. The scores by New Zealand skips were: Carson, 23: Hill, 17; Thompson, 21; Sole, 22: Parker, 8: Lee. 17. Kent scores: 20—20, 21 —18, 29 21. An Essex County team defeated the New Zealand bowlers in a six-rink match by 141 points to 114. "Winning New Zealand skips were: Grant, 25 to 20; Parker, 22 to 18. The New Zealanders have new played 29 matches on their tour. They have won nine, and lost 17, drawn two, and one match was abandoned. They have scored 410 points fewer than their opponents.
