THE KING AND THE TURF—The King's Birthday is being celebrated in all parts of the British Empire to-day. As the celebrations take the form of race meetings in many cases, it is perhaps appropriate to show his Majesty as a patron of the turf. The photograph shows King George, with Queen Mary, the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Gloucester driving to the Royal Ascot meeting.
