SUN COMMERCIAL SERVICE
A special section for readers seeking information on financial and commercial questions will te included in these columns every Saturday. Names and addresses j must be given in every instance, although not for publication , and ! inquirers are requested to send in questions early in the week addressed to the Commercial Editor , THE SUN. T.A.N. —Companies such as the one you I mention are well out of favour in recognised investment circles. As far as can be gathered the shares have not been offered in Auckland. In any case, if the scrip here were such a sound proposition as has been represented to you, do you think present holders would be letting outsiders in at a discount? For similar scrip offered through recognised investment channels there is practically no market. A.N., Hamilton.—The scrip has found a market at no time lower than 60s since 1924, from which year a steady 10 per cent, has been returned to shareholders.
