The following officers were elected at the second annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Young Men’s Institute on
j Thursday evening: President. Mr. S. S. Preston; senior vice-president, Mr. C. A. Reilly; junior vice-president, Mr. ; W. Ryan; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. F. Turrell; stewards, Messrs. F. Baker and W. Ryan (re-elected); auditors, Messrs. G. O. Jourdain and *W. McGivern; committee, Messrs. W. Bayne, F. Hinton. T. H. Davies, F. Herries, and J. Oliphant. The balance sheet showed a surplus of assets exceeding £7OO. The institute is to be represented at the Auckland provincial amateur championships.
