The. annual. conference of the North Taranaki Farmers’ Union yesterday carried remits emphatically opposing Daylight Saving, urging the Government to make it compulsory for elec-tric-power boards to earth wire fences where crossed’ by high voltage wires, urging the. removal of the duties on linseed cake and suchlike cattle foods, The conference opposed the duties and embargoes on foodstuffs and preferential railway freights on imported goods.
