LABOUR PARTY LECTURE

“THE HORRORS OF WAR” The lecture that Mr. Semple proposes to deliver in the Strand Theatre on Sunday night lifts the screen of artificial glory from the battlefield and exposes it in all its fearfulness. In the course of Mr. Semple's lecture on “The Ghastly Horrors of War,” he will quote various eminent men throughout the world to prove that there is a race for armaments between the nations of the world, and that another world war is inevitable. Among those quoted will be: Field-Marshal Sir William Robertson, Sir lan Hamilton, Mr. Edison, General Smuts, Professor Soddy and the International Editor of the “London Daily Mail.”
