ARRIVAL DELAYED BY FOG CROWDS WAIT ON HOE British Official Wireless Reed. 11.30 a.m. RUGBY, Thursday. Sir Alan and Lady Cobham arrived at Plymouth at 5.30 p.m. to-day in the flying-boat “Singapore,’* on the completion of their aerial tour of Africa. They had bcien delayed in crossing the Channel by a f6g. Thousands of people had assembled on the historic Plymouth Hoe earlier in the day to witness their arrival, but, under the impression that the flight across the Channel had been postponed until tomorrow, the crowd had slowly melted away. The few people who remained gave the airman and his wife a great ovation. A representative of the Air Ministry welcomed and congratulated Sir Alan Cobham.
