RAILWAY BOARD ENDED
NEW MANAGER TAKES OVER (Special to THE SUN) WELLINGTON, Thursday. To-day the Railway Board ended its activities and the New Zealand Railways will again be controlled by a general manager. Mr. H. H. Sterling, whose appointment to the position of general manager was announced some weeks ago, will take over his official position from to-morrow. The two remaining members of the old board, Messrs. J. Mason and A. W. Mouat, have now retired. During the past few weeks Mr. Sterling has been visiting the various offices and acquainting himself with conditions generally.
