EAST COAST RAILWAY
GOVERNMENT TAKES OVER SECTION Press Association TAURANGA, To-day. The portion of the east coast railway from Te Puna to Tahawai on the Tauranga-Waihi section constructed by Armstrong Whitworth and Co., will be finally handed over to the Government as from to-morrow, and trains will continue to be run by the Public Works Department until the line is taken over by the working railways either on June 18 or June 30.
