GAOL-BREAKER CAUGHT

Bailer, Most Dangerous Escapee Captured on Waterfront Near Birkenhead BATHING IN THE SEA TO-DAY the police recaptured Frank Bailer, one of the prisoners who escaped from Mount Eden Gaol on Friday evening. He was found near Kauri Point, Northcote.

Early this morning the police were informed that a strange man had been seen wandering about in the Northcote district. His movements seemed suspicious. A small force of police was sent over immediately and by noon had captured their man. Detective Knight was in charge of the party which made the capture. John Buckley, the ohter prisoner, is still at large.

Bailer had erected a tent at Kauri Point and was battling in Sharks Bay
