HOCKEY TEAM PROTESTS

From late edition of yesterday’s Sun.

ST. LUKES WANTS INQUIRY DEFEAT BY NORTH SHORE Declaring that one goal secured by their opponents was shot from outside the circle the St. Lukes senior hockey team has protested against the game going in favour of North Shore. It is further contended that Hookham obtained a goal that was disallowed owing to the fact that the referee, Mr. Mullins, believed the ball to have been shot from outside the circle.. Again it is suggested two “long corners” were given instead of penalty corners. The executive will consider the protest.
