MOTOR-CARS INJURE THREE PEDESTRIANS
YESTERDAY’S ACCIDENTS Three pedestrians were knocked down by motor-cars yesterday, two being severely injured. All are in the Auckland Hospital. Mr. S. J, Jones, of Hillcrest Avenue. Avondale, was nearing home last evening when knocked down. His head is badly injured and an operation was performed in hospital. His condition this morning was still serious. As Mr. R. Buchan, of Waiolxa Road. Ellerslie, was descending from a motorbus near the Great South Road terminus about 3 o’clock yesterday, he was struck by a motor-car travelling toward the city. His left leg was broken. There is an improvement in the condition of Mrs. H. Kennerly, of Hepburn Street, Ponsonby, who was injured yesterday near Western Park. Her condition is still fairly serious.
